GRAND RE-OPENING OF MY ETSY STORE TODAY!
Yes, finally :-) I woke up much earlier than I expected today (I'll probably be super tired this afternoon LOL) so I thought "it's time"! I'm spending a few hours this morning tweaking my Etsy listings that I have in draft mode and adding in the details for each soap.
Also, this morning I have a couple new soaps that I plan on making.... I have all of the details for each one put on paper.... the fun part is actually seeing how the soap actually performs and if I can accomplish what I'm aiming for...

Grand RE-Opening in February?? LOL!!
Well, I tried to be ready for the re-opening of my Etsy store in January but things just didn't work out too well. Now, the soaps worked out just fine.... I probably have 50 different soaps ready to list and sale :-) I just ran out of time working on the listings and promotion :-(
But, February should work out well and I'll be able to get everything back up and running. I'm really excited because tonight I've drafted 30 listings! Yeah!! I have some very pretty soaps that I've been working on and I can't wait to show them to everyone. Here's a sneak peek at some of the soaps:

Good Morning! It's Wednesday ;-)
And I'm up bright and early this morning (alarm went off at 3 AM)! I was hoping to have all of the packaging and shipping finished up yesterday from the sale that lasted through Sunday.... but, it's going to take another day! Whew!
When I combine shipment on orders placed through a sale, I hold the orders until the sale is done with, and then all the orders placed by the same person are combined into one shipment :-) This saves my customers a good deal of money on postage! I actually refunded one customer over $8 yesterday for excess postage. So it helps out a lot in saving some $$. But, I get a little bottlenecked the day after the sale LOL
The sale was amazing and I was able to sell SO MUCH soap :-) Now I have some room on my soap shelves so I can make some more. I was actually running out of room! Also, I have a little money (not much after buying more boxes, tissue and bubble wrap though) for some new supplies.
Some of the soaps that I listed for sale were made back in November & December so they had really cured out quite nicely. Cold process soap is a little different - the older it gets, the more it cures and dries out - the better it becomes! The bars are harder and last much longer too.
So, I'm back at it this morning packaging up more soaps to ship out today. Also, I have to check with Stamps.com early this morning because I'm having a little trouble when I take my packages to the post office. The post office wants "flat rate" printed on the postage labels for the flat rate boxes and Stamps.com isn't doing it.... So, for the orders I pack up today, I may have to just use USPS.com instead.
OH, to end this blog post on a really good note.... the soap cakes have been drying and are now hard enough to ship!! That means that I'll be getting them listed very soon! Here's a sneak peek:

Welcome to 2011 - Etsy Store Re-opening Today :-)
It seems so weird to say 2011... but it's here! Christmas and New Years have passed and it's time to get back to works, schedules and TIME to open my Etsy soap shoppe :-)
As you can tell (if your subscribed to my YouTube Channel), I've been quite busy in the soap making department over the last couple of weeks. In addition to the soaps that I still have in inventory from December, I will also be listing lots of new soaps that I've recently made.
So check out my Etsy store today and get a look at all the regular line of soaps as well as the new soaps, some of which are limited editions.

This Weekend - Last Minute Christmas Gift Shopping BLOWOUT SALE!

A Busy Soaper :-)
I've been busy concocting lots of new goodies for the Etsy soap shoppe :-) I'm working on the photos right now and I will be adding lots of SUGAR SCRUBS listings.
I worked on this recipe for several weeks and I've finally developed what I think is the most awesome sugar scrub cubes. I love them and my daughter loves them too. I still will be sending some to my sister for her input next week when I see her at Christmas. But, I thought I would go ahead and get them listed on my Etsy because they would make awesome gifts or even stocking stuffers for this Christmas! I'll post here when I get them listed on Etsy.
But, something else I did do was list more soaps in the last couple of days! I have lots of cupcakes listed, a new mini loaf that smells awesome, and even a big snowman face! I love Mr. Snowman and think that he will make the coolest Christmas present. He's a "two-scenter" - meaning I fragranced him with 2 scents. The top area (hat and face) are scented with one fragrance while the area from the nose down is scented with another fragrance. These fragrances are "Smiley Face" and "Fresh Fruit Slices". Mr. Snowman smells SO GOOD! Here's a couple of pics of him:

I think "Sexy As Sin" is now one of my most favorite fragrances for a soap! It really soaps well and has a nice strong scent. Here's the fragrance description:
Sexy as Sin -- irresistible floral bouquet of gardenia, tuberose, sweet vanilla and exotic musk is sure to intoxicate your senses. The name sexy as sin says it all!

Saturday, Dec 11th, 2010 -- Today is SILICON SOAP MOLD DAY! LOL!
It's Saturday and today we are going to put up our Christmas tree. We're a little late this year LOL. But, better late than never. I've had the tree for a couple of days already but I was waiting for DH to get home yesterday since putting up the tree is a family event :-)
Now, for some soaping news.... I purchased some new silicon molds this past week and finally got to use them this morning. One mold I found on ebay.... it's an old "KitchenAid" mold of a rag doll :-) I can not wait to see how the soap turns out....
I also found some other molds this past week - one is a flower, another is a teddy bear, another is a beautiful butterfly, and the last one is a cupcake. So, this morning, I made enough soap to be able to pour all of these just to see how they do.
Tomorrow afternoon, I'll be unmolding all of the soaps that I poured this morning.
And more on the subject of molds.... a couple of weeks ago, I ordered some molds from someone on Etsy. They are all silicon molds. So, they are perfect for molding soaps! THIS MORNING the mail lady delivered them!!!!
The one I was most excited about was the "bugs" - this one mold has bees, butterflies, dragonflies, and lady bugs. This is going to be perfect for this coming spring! I like the mold because it is pretty thin silicon - I've found that the thinner silicon (for shaped molds) seem to work better for me.
Another mold has 4 "Hello Kitty" faces :-) Then one mold has 4 little teddy bear faces.
Then there is a mold that I've really been looking for - it's a 1/2 sphere. I got two of these (each one has six cavitites). I want to be able to embed some round balls into my soap logs. So, what I'll do is pour these 1/2 spheres and then stick them together to make a ball and then embed the ball into the soap log :-)
Also in my Etsy order was a solid silicon loaf mold and a small Christmas tree mold (with 6 cavities). I'll also be giving both of these a try within the next couple of days.

Tonight I will also be listing some more soaps on my Etsy... I've been a little lazy in getting my blog updated and getting the soaps listed so I have some catching up work to do :-) Stay tuned!

Whew! Welcome Tuesday!
Cyber Monday is over with.... what a day and a night :-)
I had lots of great sales going on with my soaps on my Etsy shop. Now I have lots of packaging and shipping to do for at least the next two days. The sale was great and so are all of the orders :-) I feel very blessed to be able to make soaps and share them with all of the people who shop on Etsy. It seems most of the soap purchases were for Christmas gifts :-) I think that is so cool - the decorative, gourmet soaps that I make are awesome gifts.

Everyone know what Black Friday is - it's the day after Thanksgiving when the Christmas shopping season officially begins.
Well, there's an internet equivalent - It's called Cyber-Monday!
K-Cherie' Soaps will start a 24 hour blowout sale beginning at 11:59 PM (1 minute before midnight) on Sunday, November 28. The sale will official end at 11:59 PM (1 minute before midnight) on Monday, November 29.
We'll have exactly 24 hours of "keyboard banging" sales (versus brick & mortar store's "door busting"). The first sale will be listed at 11:59 PM. We'll keep listing more sale items around the clock for the entire 24 hours.
