Good afternoon (already)... LOL I've been busy soaping like crazy today and having such a great time! My kitchen is getting used more than it ever has in the past - it's just that now instead of cooking food, I'm cooking up soap.
Here's a sneak peak at what I've been soaping today. First, Chance by Chanel.... OH my goodness this stuff smells so good! LOL It's such a beautiful smell. This fragrance is a blend of citron, water hyacinth, jasmine, iris, teakwood, vetiver, patchouli, amber, and white musk. The base (loaf) of this is a beautiful, soft pink and I've added lots of "icing" on the top. Then, I've added some very shimmery silver dust and some diamond glitter on top of the icing. It is just beautiful. I can't wait until it's ready to take out of the mold and cut.
The second soap I worked on today is "Angel" - this is a dup of Thierry Mugler's "Angel". Another beautiful smell... Luscious rich top notes of lemon, raspberry, honeydew melon, black currants; with middle notes of jasmine, gardenia, and nutmeg; bottom notes of white chocolate, musk, sandalwood, and patchouli. The loaf is a light, soft green and has lots of white "icing" on top that is sprinkled with mauve and diamond glitter.
The third soap is KeyLime Pie.... this smells good enough to eat. The fragrance description is Bitter lime and green lemon zests on a dry down of vanilla cream. It is actually making me hungry for a slice LOL The loaf is a lime green topped with a layer of yellow on top. Then, the entire loaf is topped with frosting stars (soap) that I piped on and then sprinkled glitter on.
And the fourth soap today is Jamaica Me Crazy! This was really a fun soap.... it's so fruity smelling! Here's the fragrance description: An excellent blend of cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon; with citrus top notes of mandarin, tangerine, grapefruit and lime; with just a hint of juicy McIntosh apples. Just think of all the fruity, island drinks that you can think of -- that's what this soap smells like! The loaf is 3 colors - orange, pink and green. I'll just keep you wondering about how I put them all together! You can see very soon when I cut the loaf. Hopefully it will turn out like I wanted it to. The top is candy sprinkles and diamond glitter.
I have maybe two more soaps I can work on today. I'm thinking of soaping Strawberry Shortcake and Blue Hawaiian.... we'll see if I can get to those or not. I can't wait until tomorrow so I can cut the loafs and show you what the soaps look like!
